Saying Farewell to JimdoFree Statistics on May 15, 2010

Our news today isn't our usual good tidings. We're very sad to have to announce that due to technical limitations, starting May 15th, 2010, we will be discontinuing the statistics system for JimdoFree users. Our statistics system hasn't been able keep up with our rapid growth and has reached the point that it can't servce all of our users. We've been searching for an alternative for a while, but we've discovered that this is not easy either: other good systems are so costly that it's not realistic to use use them.

We are searching for a new statistics system, but until we find one, we can only offer them for JimdoPro and JimdoBusiness accounts.

Here's what we recommend:
Save your current stats data, and set up an alternative.

The Good News

You can save your website statistics by downloading them -- before May 14, 2010. They're in spreadsheet format (which you can open with Excel or OpenOffice) -- see our screenshot on the right.

For future web statistics and analytics for your site, we'd like to recommend Google Analytics as an excellent, free option. Using Google Analytics, you'll be able to see detailed reports about your JimdoPage's visitors. We've got some more information about how to set up Google Analytics and how to use it in this Jimdo help article on Google Analytics.

Thank you for your understanding (we know that it's always awkward to lose a feature). We hope you'll find Google Analytics a good alternative!
