Google Maps Refresh
You're already familiar with Jimdo's Google Maps element -- many of you are using it to show a business location, to pinpoint a special travel destination, or another clever use of this mapping tool. We wanted to make this popular site element better for you. Thanks to the hard work of our development team, we're unveiling a complete refresh of the Google Maps element, including a brand-new interface and additional features!
- Now with integrated driving directions: Visitors to your site can enter their starting point and have Google Maps calculate the best way to get there -- and they can print them out to take them along for the trip!
- Street View option (not available in all countries)
- Automatic placemark naming: When you click to create a new placemark, it automatically gets titled with the address of the place you've centered the map on. If you move the placemark, the name changes!
-
Change map height on the fly: You can customize the vertical dimension of the map now, and best of all -- when you click the arrows, the size of the element adjusts itself
live.
Hope you enjoy the new Google Maps features, and let us know what you think in the comments below!

It's possible to change the default red icon? A small icon would be nice.

agrogps, do you mean the pin color? I think the size and color are the Google default, but I'll look into it.
