December 17th: Have your cake and Evernote too.

These gifts have been given away, but you can check the Decemberfest calendar for today's gift!

There's one more week of Decemberfest. I'm excited about all of the gifts that we still have left to give away, including a big gift that Jimdo is going to give away on December 24th — I almost spoiled it on this week's episode of The Jimdo Review. Glad you're all along for the ride!

The Art of Losing Isn't Hard to Master

It's easy to lose track of all sorts of things: phone numbers, novel ideas, doodles, outlines, business plans, or the instructions for stopping the washing machine from dancing around and spewing water everywhere. With Evernote, you can easily capture and collect all the little scraps in your life so that you can retrieve them later when you need them. Watch the quick introduction to Evernote below to get an idea how it works.

For Decemberfest, Evernote is giving away a one year premium subscription, which features larger uploads, more file types, note history, PIN lock, and more. One of the coolest features of Evernote is that it can read your handwriting and make it searchable, so if you write down "Dan's Phone Number: GO-JIMDO" on a napkin and take a photo of it, you can later search for "Dan's Phone Number" and that image will pop up. With Evernote Premium, your images get scanned much faster, which is a great bonus.

It's not a piece of cake, it's a whole cake.

Sugarflo creates beautiful cakes that are designed specifically for an individual's celebration, whether that is a wedding, a birthday, or Decemberfest. The site is run by Louise, who has been making cakes for more than twenty-five years, and has been teaching people how to make cakes for a long time as well. She specializes in creating extremely realistic sugar flowers — I could hardly believe that the photo below was of a handcrafted sugar flower and not a real flower. For Decemberfest, Louise is giving away one free holiday-themed fruit cake.

As a note: Louise created a Jimdo site as a way to show off her work to a large audience, but unfortunately it's a lot harder to send a cake around the world than it is to make a Jimdo site. For that reason, Louise can only offer delivery of her Decemberfest gift in Gloucestershire, England. If you ever find yourself in the area in the future, I hope you'll go visit Louise and take one of her baking classes.

If you'd like a chance to win one of Louise's cakes or a subscription to Evernote premium, leave a comment below or retweet our daily Decemberfest tweet. Make sure that you note if you're able to pick up a cake in Gloucestershire, England — sorry, Sugarflo's beautiful cakes don't make international journeys.

See you all tomorrow with more gifts!

Dan Gray

I LOVE looking at these pages! Wish I lived in England because I would rush to see those cakes in person! LOVED them all... But the beach cupcakes and the celebration cake that looks like a card and flowers on top... Fabulous! I also love Evernote and did not know they were fellow Jimdo-ers! I am learning more about how to "spiff-up" my own webpage by checking out how others are using the tools! Thanks for this GREAT Decemberfest!

I heard English cake taste good and I've tasted a good cake given by person from England, but I prefer the mind-boggling evernote gift.

This would be a life-saver for my husband -- who has bits and pieces ALL over the place. If it can go on his computer, it would be like magic for him!!

Hi, Nancy! If you want to add a picture to your Jimdo profile, log into your site and go to Settings > Account > Profile Picture. After uploading, give it some time, but soon it will start showing up when you comment on Jimdo blog posts. :-)
