December 21st: I'm Bananas For MailChimp

The MailChimp gift certificate has been given away, but there's a new gift today on the Decemberfest calendar!

Decemberfest is winding down, but there's still a few great gifts to come! Thanks to everyone who has been commenting and tweeting — your enthusiasm has been fantastic. I can't wait to send out the last few emails telling people they've won, because I love getting replies that say "REAAALLLY??? I WONNN!!!!!!" Jimdo users are the best.

Today's gift comes from our friends at MailChimp, who offer the best way to send email newsletters. MailChimp helps you compile a list of subscribers, build templates, send out emails, and track how many people are reading your newsletters. One of my favorite features of MailChimp is the A/B test, which sends out two different versions of your newsletter and tells you which one was more successful. This helps you continue to send out better and better email newsletters to the people who follow you.

For Decemberfest, we're giving away a $50 MailChimp gift certificate. The winner can use the gift certificate for a monthly plan or MailChimp's pay-per-email service. I should mention, by the way, that even if you don't win, MailChimp offers a completely free plan that lets you send 12,000 emails per month — I've had a free plan for years and I feel like a winner every time I send out a newsletter.

If you want a chance to win the gift certificate, just leave a comment below or retweet our daily Decemberfest tweet. Make sure that you check the Decemberfest calendar on Monday, December 24th — Jimdo is giving away an awesome gift that day.

So, I just sent out a newsletter for the first time on Jimdo. But, I found it pretty bland. I received a newsletter by MailChimp the other day, and it was great. So, how does it work to use MailChimp within Jimdo?

This is a very good gift, I think. However, it is much too complicated for me, I think also.

Mailchimp is a great product, cheaper (free) and just as good as Constant Contact.

Will be working on integrating mail chimp this weekend. I really enjoy their 'how to videos'. Ah if only we really could send cookies via email for people to feed their unicorns.

I just started to use Mailchimp a few weeks ago and I am really enthusiast about it. Very easy to use and great response. Easy like bananas!
