Art and Technology at Pisa's Internet Festival

#IF2013 Pisa

There's more to do in Pisa than take ridiculous photos of yourself pretending to hold up the Leaning Tower. Jimdo traveled to the city last week to take part in Pisa's third annual Internet Festival, #IF2013—though we did also take ridiculous photos pretending to hold up the Leaning Tower.

The festival focused on technology and art as well as building a sustainable future in the new economy. There were over 200 speakers from all over the world, taking part in 150 talks, workshops and events, many of which were held in Pisa's historical buildings. Jimdo's Italian Team held an excellent workshop covering e-commerce, social media and mobile

Along with Jimdo's Italian Team, video artist Devon Elise Atkins and photographer Roman Drits came on the trip to capture their artistic interpretation of the city and the festival. Their final works will be published in the near future on their personal Jimdo artist websites.

Pisa Tower

Pisa is a beautiful city and the festival had something for everyone. We highly recommend making the trip to #IF14 if you are interested in learning more about the intersection of technology and culture.
