Matthias Henze
Marketing, Distribution

Matthias has a diploma in business studies. He studied at the universities of Kiel, Germany and Goteborg, Sweden. In 2004, he was one of the founders of NorthClick, and of Jimdo in 2007. Almost every evening he puts up a good fight against Fridtjof and Christian (it's all about being the best in Atomic Bomberman).

Fridtjof Detzner
Interface Design, System Development

Fridtjof and co-founder Christian founded their first company, web agency dream-up.de when they were still going to school. Later he founded NorthClick and Jimdo together with Christian and Matthias. These days he's practicing handstand-running and he is the inventor of "salary-golfing".

Christian Springub
Programming, System Development

Christian founded the web agency dream-up.de with Fridtjof, then with Matthias and Fridtjof, NorthClick and Jimdo.

Sönke Ruempler

Software Developer, System Architecture

Besides his full-time job at Jimdo, Soenke is also studying information systems. Soenke has worked at Jimdo from the beginning. He not only works on the software development and system architecture, he's also the mentor and supervisor for our trainees Martin and Sebastian.

Boris Erdmann

Developer

Since Boris joined the Jimdo team at the end of 2007, he has developed new features for Jimdo all day long. (He does not wear his Outback-Jack-Hat very often, by the way...)

Hinrich Sager

PHP-Programmer

Hinrich is one of the PHP developers at Jimdo. Before he joined the company in November 2007, he had worked as a PHP freelancer, doctor, shepherd, and locksmith.

Michael Dunsky

System Administrator

Michael has been Jimdo's system administrator since January 2008. He keeps the machines running and solves the computer problems of desperate colleagues (most of them do not belong to the developer team ;) ). Before he joined Jimdo, he worked as a server administrator and in software development.

Oleg Slobodskoi

Javascript Expert

Oleg joined the Jimdo team in October 2008. He is responsible for Jimdo's user interface components on the basis of JavaScript (jQuery), HTML and CSS. Furthermore, he fights alongside with Fridtjof for a better usability :)

Daniel Bonkowski

Server Administrator

Daniel is Michael's long-awaited and very capable second pair of hands. Daniel watches over the servers, the computers of the Jimdo team, and makes sure everything stays on track. Shortly before Daniel started at Jimdo (February 2009), he finished his training as an IT specialist for system integration.

Lennart Koopmann
Developer

Lennart joined the Jimdo's developers in August 2009, long-awaited addition to the dev team. He recently finished his training program for computer programming and application development. On the side, Lennart's also the head developer for an Open Source remoting monitoring project.

Martin Denk

Trainee (Focus on Programming)

In August 2007, Martin joined Jimdo as first trainee in the company's history. He is Sönke's pride and joy (even if he comes home with only a B+ in his exams). Young upcoming talent in Atomic Bomberman.

Sebastian Kaspari

Trainee (Focus on Programming)

Since Sebastian has joined Jimdo in August 2008 as second trainee in the company's history, Soenke has to share all his proud and attention fair-minded. Before Sebastian came to Jimdo, he already started to study computer science and worked as a freelancer.

Janina Mumberg

Design

Janina is trained as media designer, with a focus on digital and print design. She creates new layouts for Jimdo and implements them.

Jörn Schreiber

Interface Design

Jörn has been at Jimdo since May 2009. He works on improving and developing the user interface, as well as designing and conception of new features. Before starting at Jimdo, he studied media design and worked for for several years in interface design and usability optimization.

Nadja Macht

Design

Nadja is also a trained digital media designer. As a freelancer, she creates and implements new layouts for Jimdo.

Kathleen Priess

Accounting & Controlling

Kathleen is responsible for everything in the realm of accounting and controlling at Jimdo. She's been part of the team since January 2009 and is currently finishing her degree in Controlling and Marketing at the University of Applied Science in Stralsund.

Carsten Schubsda
Online Marketing

Carsten threw in his lot with Jimdo in July 2009, and since starting he's taken the reins of all our online marketing projects. Beyond his many years of experience in that area, he's also a drummer -- a mediocre one, by his own admission -- in search of a successful band signed with a major label.

Svenja Pokora

Online Communications Manager

Studied business with focus on International marketing and joined Jimdo in August 2007. Svenja is responsible for internal and external communication as well as for the content of Jimdo. She also coordinates the different language versions.

Hendric Rüsch

Business Development

Hendric's journey has taken him from studying the social sciences to a deep fascination with the social web. He joined the Jimdo team in Feburary 2008 and is responsible for everything related to the Jimdo Partner programs. Hendrc is extremely proud to now be able to call Hamburg his home

Alina Atzler

Business Development

Alina has assisted Jimdo's Business Development Team since May 2008. She is also currently studying social science in Oldenburg, where she is preparing for her final examinations and hopes to complete her studies soon.

Powen Shiah

U.S. Country Manager

Powen is responsible for the expansion of Jimdo in the U.S. and for press and marketing activities in the English-speaking world. When he's not busy making Jimdo the greatest website creator in America, Powen enjoys improving his photography.

Stefanie Grunwald

Community Manager

Steffi not only answers your support queries in no time, she is also very busy in the Jimdo forum. Furthermore, Steffi studies computer science at the University of Hamburg.

Lisa Ringen
Community Support

We were happy to welcome Lisa as a new member in November of 2008. After studying Mass Communications in the United States, Lisa is now enrolled in an extra-occupational study program to become a Communications Consultant in Bremen. She's taking care of the Jimdo Supporters, our Sponsoring program and tricky questions regarding JimdoPro. Aside from that, you can meet her in our chat and forum.

Tom Krüger

Jimdo really lucked out, snapping up Tom as an 1st-class addition to our support team. An IT- and Telecommunications-Systems technician by training, he's an old-hand at user support, bringing six years of experience to bear when helping Jimdo users. Fritz is a real veteran of Jimdo support. He's been part of the Jimdo team since the very beginning and can answer all your questions in his sleep. He has a secret weakness for cup of noodles and other 5-minute foods, even though he's actually a really great cook.

Jimdo was lucky to find an experienced and engaged addition to the support team in Christian. He studied wholesale and international trade and has worked for several companies in customer service and support. Now he's putting his knowledge to use, speedily answering questions from Jimdo users!

Vanessa is a much-appreciated addition to the Jimdo support team. She started in June 2009 and brings a lot of energy and know-how. Before she came to Jimdo, Vanessa worked for various media companies in customer support and quality control.

It's the weekend, and you've finally got time to work on your Jimdo page. But what do you do when you run into problems? Don't worry, Bianca to the rescue! Since March 2009 she's been answering urgent weekend questions. During the week, she attends university in Wedel, studying media & computer science. In her free time, she's an amateur photographer.

Amélie is responsible for the performance of Jimdo in the French-speaking countries. She manages the French partners and carries out press and marketing activities for the French market.

Mathilde Kurz

French Community Support

Mathilde has been at Jimdo since the end of October 2008. She takes care of many of the support inquiries from French users and also keeps the French version of Jimdo.com up-to-date.

Eila Lifflander

Country Manager Spain/South America

Eila is responsible for the performance of Jimdo in the Spanish-speaking countries. She also takes care of the Spanish speaking users and coordinates press and marketing activities in the mentioned countries.

Jose Atencia Palacios

Community Support Spain & Latin America

At the end of 2008, Jose came to Hamburg after he finished his translation and interpretation degree. He's been speedily answering supporting inquiries and keeping the Spanish version of jimdo.com up-to-date since February of 2009.

Monica Dametto

Country Manager Italy

When Monica moved to Hamburg from Italy, she "only" wanted to learn German. Three years and a good grasp of German later, she still hasn't moved away! She's been making sure Jimdo puts its best foot forward in Italy since the beginning of 2009, helping and guiding our Italian-speaking users, and watching over the community.

Nastja watches over the Russian-speaking Jimdo community. She takes care of our Russian users not only with her technical expertise (she's a computer scientist), but with good advice and support as well.

Country Manager China

Reno is now responsible for the performance of Jimdo in China. He takes care of the Chinese speaking users and coordinates press and marketing activities in China.

BaoGang Yuan

Community Support China

BaoGang has been part of the Jimdo team in China since October 2008. He takes care of the many questions from Chinese users and keeps the Chinese version of Jimd up-to-date.

Shijie Chen

Trainee, Jimdo China

In 2007, Mr. Shijiechen joined the Jimdo team. He has a degree in Computer Science, which is why he is very interested in programming. Furthermore, he is responsible for Jimdo China's customer service.

Teppei Takahata

Country Manager Japan

Teppei is responsible for all marketing and sales activities in Japan. Also he is a senior-vice president of SMB at KDDI Web Communications, Inc., Japan.

Hiromitsu Miyanishi
IT Manager, Jimdo Japan

Hiromitsu is responsible for all the IT & technical side of Jimdo Japan. He is also general manager of the technical team at KDDI Web Communications.

Takuya Saeki
Team Leader, Jimdo Japan

Takuya is a team leader for Jimdo in Japan.  He has worked on the Jimdo Japan project since 2007. He organizes and coordinates Jimdo Japan's activities, such as promotional campaigns.

Virgule

She's a born-and-bred French girl and actually belongs to Amélie. But in the meantime, she's regarded as a full-fledged team member - at least, she's the only one who takes an enthusiastic spin and says hello to everybody each morning! Virgule is French speaking only, but she's really happy when you say some foreign words to her when you pet her neck.
