Matthias Henze

Online Marketing, Sales

Matthias studied at the University of Kiel and the University of Gothenburg and then went into business with Fridtjof and Christian. Matthias takes care of Jimdo's marketing. Hang gliding is Matthias's passion — look up and you might see him soaring through the clouds. 

Fridtjof Detzner

Product Development, Design

Fridtjof and Christian started their first company, dream-up.de, while they were still in school. Fridtjof went on to found another company with Christian and Matthias, which evolved into Jimdo in 2007. When Fridtjof is not in the office, he likes to mountain bike in the Alps, kite surf, and dream up other extremely frightening things he can try. 

Christian Springub

Jimdo USA

When Christian was twelve, he started his first business, buying and selling Kinder Surprise collectible toys at flea markets. Just a few years later he met up with Fritdjof, and the two started creating websites for small businesses in their hometown. After Jimdo was already a household name in Germany, Christian moved to San Francisco in 2011 to set up Jimdo's US office. 

Powen Shiah

U.S. Country Manager

Powen is responsible for the expansion of Jimdo in the U.S. He works on press, marketing, and community management for the English-speaking world. When he's not busy making Jimdo the greatest website creator in America, Powen enjoys photography, reading science fiction, and watching films from around the world.

William Molina

Email Support Geek

Helping people with their technology needs comes easy to William.  He came to Jimdo from EPA.net where he helped local businesses and organizations get online. When he's not answering tech support questions at Jimdo or at home, you might find him playing video games from the comfort of his couch.

Brent Gummow

Multi-talento

Brent joined Jimdo in July 2011, bringing his many talents and fresh ideas to the US team. In his past (and current lives), he's played in a band, been a freelance web designer, run a recording company, and started an MBA. So you can see -- when we need something done, Brent's our man!

Ana R. Alvarado

Public Relations

Ana joined the Jimdo team in January 2012; she focuses on increasing Jimdo's visibility in the USA through PR, media relations, and events. Ana comes from Southern California, where she worked at an interactive event photography company and studied Communication at the University of California Santa Barbara. Ana loves photography, culture, volleyball, spinning, and her two dogs and cat. She believes it's important to face your fears; you might also find her bungee jumping or trapeezing! 

Kurt Lash

Community Care Bear

Kurt came to Jimdo in March 2012 via Apple, where he worked in customer support for several years before leaving the tech world briefly to help with a family business. When he's not helping the Jimdo community with the best support possible, you'll find him riding his road bike around San Francisco.

Julia O. Test

Customer Support Geek

Julia Test (her real, not shortened last name) began helping Jimdo users with their website questions and issues in April 2012, but she's not new to the web world: previously, Julia worked at a company developing and supporting websites for CPAs. She is originally from Russia, but now bikes to work every day in Jimdo's San Francisco office. Julia is a photographer, mixed media artist, rock climber, and yogi.

Dan Gray

Herr Doktor Professor

Dan joined Jimdo in October 2012 after returning from a year of teaching English in Dresden, Germany. He splits his time between translating German and working with the exciting community of Jimdo users. Dan can't grow a beard, but he loves strategic board games, Victorian novels, and strumming the seven chords that he knows on guitar. 

Devon Atkins

Web All Rounder UK and Ireland

Devon grew up in a small beach town in Australia and moved to Europe in 2010. After spending some time in London, then working in gallery administration in Berlin, it was the coastal vibe and the harbor that lured her to Hamburg. In July 2012, Devon joined the Jimdo team to expand the Experts program and help provide customer support. 

Niccolò Montanari

Country Manager UK and Ireland

Born in 1984, Nico has loved and lived in quite a few countries across the world. Originally from Italy, he grew up and studied in the UK where he completed his BA in European Languages Culture and Society at Goldsmiths Unversity of London. He then moved to Spain, France and Brazil to finally base himself in Berlin, where he founded his own events management company. In March 2013 he joined the Jimdo team as the UK and Ireland Country Manager.  

Soenke Ruempler

Software Developer, System Architecture

Besides his full-time job at Jimdo, Soenke is also studying information systems. Soenke has worked at Jimdo from the beginning. He not only works on the software development and system architecture, but is also the mentor and supervisor for our computer science trainees.

Boris Erdmann

Developer

Since we convinced Boris to join the Jimdo team at the end of 2007, he has been hacking new features for Jimdo all the live long day. By the way... he doesn't wear his Outback Jack hat very often.

Hinrich Sager

PHP Programmer

Hinrich is one of the PHP developers at Jimdo. Before he joined the company in November 2007, he worked as a PHP freelancer, doctor, shepherd, and locksmith.

Jan Brauer

Software Guy 

Jan helps internal development processes run more smoothly and Jimdo become better! After studying computer science at the University of Hamburg, he worked for a corporate CMS provider. In his free time, Jan works with a Reggae soundsystem.

Martin Denk

Developer

In August 2007, Martin became Jimdo's first trainee, ever. He is Sönke's pride and joy (even if he only earned a B+ in his exams). In January 2010 he became a full-fledged member of the Jimdo development team... and his Atomic Bomberman skills are not insignificant, either!

Engin Ülkü

Developer

Engin joined our merry band of Jimdo developers in June 2010, after his education as what he calls "Jack of all trades developer". In addition to software programming, he also handles issues like payment and subscriptions.

Christian "Z" Zielecki

Web Developer and Data Security Specialist

Christian joined the Jimdo dev team in December 2010. As Christian #4 (we're running out of nicknames), he prefers just to be called "Z" (pronounced a bit like Zed). His dual degree in information engineering and experience in the last five years as a PHP/Java developer and data security officer, set him up perfectly for Jimdo!

Soeren Krings

Sören joined Jimdo in March 2011 to bring more excellent features to our users. And we believe he can do it, with his experience at agencies large and small. Plus, he's a polyglot -- at least when it comes to Java, PHP, and Javascript.

Ilya Margolin

Ilya joined the dev team in February 2011. A friend of "black screens with colored text", he brings quite a bit of experience. Ilya studied in St. Petersburg and Hamburg and worked as freelancer before he came to us. He keeps an eye on the big picture: from elegant programming to perfect interfaces...

Tobias Meyer

After finishing his Masters in Software System Engineering at the University of Lübeck, Tobias joined Jimdo's development team in May of 2011. In his free time he enjoys mountain biking and working out -- and at work, he's excited to build great software that's fun to use.

Robin Drexler

IT / Application Development (Apprentice)

After finishing his education at the Technical University in Dresden, Robin came to Jimdo to finish his practical training in November 2010. His focus is on web development, and he is a key part of the development team. 

Joscha Meyer

Joscha threw in his lot with the Jimdo development team in August 2011, where he primarily works back-end development. Before Jimdo, Joscha worked at an agency and cajoled his colleagues into writing tests before pushing code to production. When he's not doing that, you might find Joscha fishing or playing Jugger.

Robert Kowalski

Javascript Developer

Since October 2011, there have been more people "speaking" Javascript in the office. The reason? We have one more Javascript nerd: Robert! Thanks to his experience in developing mobile websites and apps, he's the right guy to make Jimdo's user interface even more awesome!

Michi Lehr
Web Developer

In chilly November 2011, Michi headed north to join the team in Hamburg. He enjoyed his co-op semester at Jimdo so much, it was an easy decision what to do after graduation: work as a web developer at Jimdo! When he's not in front of the screen, you're likely to find Michi outside on his mountain bike. Though he does miss the mountains, he's not immune to the allure of the sea, either.

Mark Frawley
Senior Irish/German Web Developer

Hailing from Galway City, Ireland, Mark has been with Jimdo since January 2012. After his studies at the University of Galway, Mark worked for several years as a PHP developer - the perfect background for helping make Jimdo even better. He's also struggling to understand his team members' programming jokes in German - no small feat in itself.

Chris has been assisting the dev team as a co-op student since April 2012. He loves go karts and coding, and has already cut his teeth in both development and project management. He's also studying e-commerce at the Wedel University for Applied Science. We'll all be rooting for him to get great marks on his final exams!

Till just finished university, and is excited to join the web development team in building great software. When he's done coding for the day, he likes watching horror movies and cooking - though not necessarily at the same time. It goes without saying that he gets inspiration from lunches at Sam's kitchen, too.

Hauke Stange

After finishing his education in IT (and dabbling in PHP development) Hauke found his way to Jimdo. His daily work involves improving Jimdo's system, and outside of the office he enjoys analog photography — at least until he remembers how arduous it is to develop real photographs. 

Matthias Lau

Around the office, he's known as Matti. He loves all of the different facets of the internet, but he feels most at home when he's working with e-commerce and web development. He's been coding feverishly for Jimdo since July 2012, and his passion is improving our shop features. Not only his coding prowess makes him a good fit for Jimdo — he is also an outdoor sport aficionado. When the waves are killer (that's a good thing, apparently) you'll find him surfing.

Ole Michaelis

Ole began at Jimdo in December 2012, where he's referred to as "O Captain My Software Captain!" He has a wide range of interests as a developer (system architecture, deployment, and more), and he loves attending tech conferences, where his favorite thing to do is spread the word about Jimdo. 

Daniel Bonkowski

System Administration

Daniel watches over the myriad servers, the Jimdo team's computers, and makes sure everything stays on track. Shortly before Daniel started at Jimdo (February 2009), he finished his training as an IT specialist for system integration.

Lars Fronius

System Administration & Integration

In July 2011, Lars joined Jimdo's sysadmin team. A systems integration specialist by training, his main project is improving Jimdo's server environment and setting up a central login system. Lars is excited to try something completely different with Jimdo!

Sascha Sprunk

Office Admin

Sascha has been helping stuck users out of a jam since he joined the Jimdo team in July 2011: first as a Community Supporter assisting lucky Jimdo users, and since January 2012 as Office Admin helping the rest of us at Jimdo headquarters whenever hardware or software is on the fritz. When he's not troubleshooting, Sascha prefers to capture his thoughts the old-fashioned way - with pen and paper. We can't wait for his first book to be published!

Ingo Oeser

Devops Ninja

While his colleagues are nibbling on breakfast rolls, Ingo munches on unsweetened while loops until they've run their course. Since June 2012 he's been the bridge between developers and system adminstrators, which helps Jimdo get bigger and better without any hiccups. Ingo describes his job as "a little bit of examination, a little bit of surgery." Primum non nocere, Dr. Server Surgeon. 

Jens Mayer

System Administrator

Since August 2012 a new Jens has been wandering the illustrious hallways of Jimdo headquarters in Hamburg, and he's made a name for himself despite living in the shadow of John Mayer, the most famous Mayer of all. As a system administrator, Jens supports the infrastructure team in their quest to make Jimdo's servers a lush, stable oasis. Jens is a frequent poetry slam participant and a lover of caffeinated beverages — a few weeks after starting at Jimdo he fell in love with the coffee maker, and they've been inseparable ever since. 

Knut Ahlers

Network Administrator

The entire office rejoiced when Knut arrived, because his educational background makes him a perfect go-between for the Office Administrator and Infrastructure teams. Knut works to keep the office network stable and tries to make tons of office processes elegantly automatic. In his spare time, Knut likes to take artistic photographs. 

Patrick Kipp

Office Admin

When Patrick arrived in December 2012, the office administration "Triumphant Trio" became a reality. Before he started at Jimdo, Patrick worked as a system administrator in Bochum, but now he spends his days taking Jimdo team members under his wing when they have problems with their computers. Patrick is really glad that he's able to work in Hamburg, which has a lot to offer sports fanatics. And, of course, he's happy to work with the coolest co-workers in the world. 

Janina Christiansen

Design

Janina is trained as media designer, with a focus on digital and print design. She creates new layouts for Jimdo and implements them.

Joern Schreiber

Interface Design

Jörn has been at Jimdo since May 2009. He works on improving and developing the user interface, as well as designing and conception of new features. Before starting at Jimdo, he studied media design and worked for for several years in interface design and usability optimization.

Maren Gerdes

After living for a spell in Canada and on a farm in Portugal, traveling through Europe and even living in Berlin, our world traveler has finally settled down in Hamburg. Since May 2012 we're happy to welcome Maren to Jimdo, where she'll be using pen and brush to express herself and make things even prettier around here.

We couldn't put it better: according to Björn himself, since he started at Jimdo in June 2010, his responsibilities as a web designer have settled somewhere between summer fun of CSS and the winter wonderland of HTML. You can read on his website about his experiences thus far.

Jan Schlie

Design

Jan studied media design in Salzgitter, Germany, and spent his intern (and last) semester at Jimdo. He's been helping out our design team since February 2011, and is enjoying the side benefits of working in Hamburg: being near water and able to quickly run out with his surfboard...

Gregor Swatek

Design

Gregor studied computer science at the University of Applied Science in Hamburg and worked as a web designer. At Jimdo, he's part of the Interface team, more specifically at the...well, interface between designers and developers. An active athlete, Gregor is excited to bring agile design to Jimdo.

Thomas Schickedanz

Design

Quite literally, Thomas came halfway around the world for Jimdo - after spending 10 years in New Zealand, pushing pixels for a number of web agencies and startups. He's been with Jimdo since April 2012, designing elegant and efficient user interfaces to the delight of Jimdo users and his colleagues alike. The Jimdo lunchtime running group is happy to welcome Thomas into its fold!

Jill Heyer

Web Design

In July 2010, Jill left the colorful world of advertising to join us here in Jimdo's (equally exciting) web world. She's happily pushing pixels for banners and beautifying Jimdo.com. In her free time, she's been studiously learning new languages (like JavaScript).

Lasse Diercks

Design

After finishing up his digital and print media design training in Hamburg, Lasse joined Jimdo's team of merry designers in September 2011. Not only is he helping out with the design team's work, he's also working closely with the online marketing team. For Lasse, great music is just as important as great coworkers, which will make this guitar player a hit in the office!

Kerstin Ebert

Video and Screencast Artist

Captain Hollywood herself, Kerstin works with Daniel aka Weasel and Miguel to make Jimdo videos the coolest on the web. Before she landed here, she worked as a creative producer for an ad agency in Hamburg. She's dedicated her free time to one goal: being able to play drums for all the songs on Rock Band in expert mode. We can't wait!

Daniel Menapace

There's one more Daniel in our team as of February 2012 - and since we've got a few other Daniels around, this one chose a nickname right on Day One: "Weasel". Trained as a multimedia designer, Weasel has worked in 3D, motion graphics design, and compositing. When he's not creating killer tutorials and feature videos for Jimdo users, he loves pwning rivals on the PS3.

Svenja Pokora

Communications Manager

Since August 2007, Svenja has been responsible for internal and external communications at Jimdo, as well as the content on Jimdo.com. She finds new energy and unusual inspiration at her sewing machine and while doing Bikram yoga.

Alina Atzler

Country Manager Germany

Alina studied social science in Oldenburg and has been working on Jimdo's business development and marketing since May 2008. When she's not in the office, she devotes herself completely to photography, vaulting (on horses), and to traveling the world.

Ria Voss

Community Rocker

Ria's been rocking the socks off the Jimdo community since July 2011. She studied sports science and journalism and now bridges our marketing and support teams, watching over JimdoFriends and community initiatives. In her free time, she loves to take short trips to London or to the Eurovision Song Contest finals -- wherever they happen to be -- or she catches up on one of her beloved TV shows.

Kai Birkenfeld
Help Section Guru

Kai is an all-rounder in the truest sense of the word. He studied philosophy and secondary school education, and has jobbed as a social worker, graphic designer and web designer. All these experiences have prepared him for working at Jimdo: he is able to help people and still be a complete computer geek. Kai is the go-to man for devs, designers and country managers for all questions concerning the Jimdo Help section.

Katharina Mock

Katharina joined the marketing team in November 2010, and she's definitely a welcome addition! She works on making Jimdo more well-known in that little place called the Internet. Katharina's family takes the biggest place in her heart... say hello to Jimdo's first mom!

Anja joined the online marketing team in December 2011, where she primarily works on developing and coordinating display ads. With her experience as an art director, in design, print, project management, and customer care, she's perfect for the job. And she's ready to give Fridel a run for his money in bike racing!

Cathrin joined the Online Marketing team in January 2012 after finishing her university studies. Here at Jimdo she is responsible for email marketing and our campaigns on Facebook and YouTube. When she's not at work, she enjoys a cool breeze while canoeing or snowboarding, depending on the time of year.

After studying business in college, Jens worked as an in-house SEO expert. Now since March 2012 he's part of the Jimdo Online Marketing team, working on optimizing our advertising campaigns around the world. After all, people have to find us before we can give them a free website.

We proudly present the fourth Jan in the Jimdo team. Since July 2012, Jan has worked on online marketing, specifically focusing on search engine marketing. He loves to travel, and he hopes that his next road trip takes him to lands (or galaxies) far, far away. 

Nadezda Befus
Online Marketing Missile

Since February 2011 Nadezda has been a part of the Jimdo Team. Nadezda's primary responsibility is performing "Customer Support CPR" for Jimdo's Russian speaking customers. With the rest of her time, Nadezda works on online marketing — her hope is to make Jimdo the most well-known website builder in Russia. Using her analytical chess mind (she's a nationally-ranked player!) she should be able to accomplish her goal by simply moving Rd3. Or maybe Qxd3? 

János Moldvay

Data Captain

Captain János stands and the helm of our Data Ship to ensure the team is sailing in the right direction (and avoiding pesky icebergs!). His extensive experience with databases and online marketing put him in good steed to sail the course. When not preparing and analysing data, he enjoys spending time with his daughter, or setting solo to the seas kite surfing.

Stefanie Grunwald

Data Scientist

The multi-talented Steffi has moved her desk! Starting in September 2011, instead of backoffice and support team coordination, she joined the data team. There, she's putting her computer science background to use as the "Tycho Brahe of Online Marketing", primarily collecting and analyzing data. And if that's not enough: Steffi has been studying astrophysics on the side since 2010.

Ludwig Ostrowski
Data Scientist

If there was a catchy synonym for data, that would be Ludwig's moniker. After all, since May 2012 he's been stirring up figures at Jimdo, or in layman's terms, "implementing and proffering a centralized data infrastructure". The madness behind all this method? Delivering us with information on the Jimdo system that will help us get even better. Welcome, Ludwig!

Hendric Ruesch

Business Development

Hendric's journey has taken him from studying the social sciences to a deep fascination with the social web. He joined the Jimdo team in February 2008 and is responsible for partnerships, the Jimdo affiliate program, and social media. Hendric is extremely proud to call Hamburg home.

Markus Bertling
Jimdo Experts and Partners

Markus joined us in January 2012, and since then he has looked after German-speaking Jimdo Experts and our affiliate program in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Before that he worked in a social media consultancy in Hamburg. When work is out, Markus makes music on the trombone and guitar.

Tobias Gross
Community Support Germany

Tobias solved the "name question" for us on Day One: he vowed to go by 'Tobi' to avoid confusion (which means we have to stop calling Tobias Meyer 'Tobi'). He trained in wholesale and outside sales, and has been with the German Community Support team since May 2012 — now he also assists with partnerships. In his off hours, Tobi is an amateur DJ and is attending college. Next challenge: cut an album with the Jimdo band!

Daniel Beskos

Partnerships

Daniel's been around almost since the very beginning. In 2005 he started working at NorthClick, Jimdo's "mothership", as a project manager. Since February 2010 he's been at Jimdo, responsible for partner program and online collaborations.

Chris Hilbert

International Projects

Since October 2012, Chris has brought a bit of Luxembourg flair to the Jimdo office. After finishing his studies, he started several businesses (like a wake board school and an IT firm) and then travelled the world for 15 months. Now he's settled in to his life in Hamburg, where spends a lot of his time doing various water sports and managing Jimdo's international projects. 

Kathleen Priess

Accounting & Controlling

Kathleen is responsible for everything in the realm of accounting and controlling at Jimdo. She's been part of the team since January 2009 and is currently finishing her degree in Controlling and Marketing at the University of Applied Science in Stralsund.

Dennis Manzke

Treasurer

Having lived in Bremen and now Hamburg, northern Germany's Hanseatic cities are not new to Dennis, but the world of the internet is. He worked at a company in Bremen for nine years before coming to Jimdo in December 2011. Dennis is working on setting up Jimdo's controlling (accounting) system -- and Kathleen's happy to have the help. As a volleyball coach, his skills will be put to test at Jimdo's regular beach volleyball matches. Game on!

Nadja Macht

Flow Manager

Nadja has worked as a freelance designer at Jimdo since 2007. These days, however, she works with the entire Jimdo team to make sure we all stay 'in the flow' and agile, drawing on her broad experience set and a solid knack for optimizing processes. She also lends a bit of structure to the creative chaos of Jimdo headquarters.

Magdalena Bethge

Office & Sprint Organizer Extraordinaire

After studying sports at university in Kiel, Magda worked as a sports therapist until Jimdo found her in July 2011. As our resident organizer, she doesn't just make sure that office is a fun and comfortable place to be, she also takes charge of whatever else needs doing. Whether it's dancing, jogging, or yoga, Magda's always in motion -- and you can't miss her: the next office aerobics session is already in the works!

Amaradjan "Sam" Samake

Chef de Cuisine

Sam grew up in Côte d'Ivoire, where he learned his love of cooking from his mother. Starting in December 2011, Sam and his lunches have been the cherry on the sundae of working at Jimdo's Hamburg office! After working as a cook in a restaurant in Hamburg, Sam worked for three years at a top London restaurant. Now he's spoiling the Jimdo team with cuisines from around the world - it's no wonder that we love walking into the kitchen. Sam's wish for 2012? Learning to ski from Fridel!

Laura Vogel

Captain Chaos

Jimdo's office has been transformed into an even more beautiful place to work thanks to Captain Chaos herself, Laura. She was trained as an architect and her passion is making spaces functional and comfortable.  

Carolin Schuenemann

Master of Surprise

Around the office, Carolin is known as the "Surprise Fairy." After working as a system administrator for several years, Carolin started on a new path at Jimdo, where her role is keeping the office exciting and fun. She has loved surprises since she was a little girl — her favorite thing of all were Kinder Surprise Eggs, which are little chocolate eggs with a surprise prize inside. 

Vanessa Giese

Community Support

Vanessa is a much-appreciated addition to the Jimdo support team. She started in June 2009 and brings a lot of energy and know-how. Before she came to Jimdo, Vanessa worked for various media companies in customer support and quality control.

Christian Denk

Jimdo was lucky to find an experienced and engaged addition to the support team in Christian. He studied wholesale and international trade and has worked for several companies in customer service and support. Now he's putting his knowledge to use, speedily answering questions from Jimdo users!

Tom Krueger

Jimdo really lucked out, snapping up Tom as an 1st-class addition to our support team. An IT- and telecommunications-systems technician by training, he's an old-hand at user support, bringing six years of experience. Count yourselves lucky if one of Tom's sunny answers graces your inbox.

Dirk Planeth

Dirk is a new heavenly object in Jimdo's sky (we couldn't resist: Dirk's last name means "planet" and he fits right into our system). Since Dirk started in September 2010 he's been helping Jimdo users and putting his many years of experience in business support (wholesale/export) to good use!

Inga's quick on her feet -- having studied sport science, she loves challenges and feels best when things are in motion! She made the jump to the virtual world via eLearning at university. In January 2011, she landed at Jimdo, joining the support team where she hustles to find an answer to your questions.

Jola Czarny

Before Jola came to Jimdo, this graphic-designer-by-training worked with many customers in her first career and found she liked that part of the job the best. In January 2011, she followed that thread to Jimdo's support team, giving our users a helping hand in questions large and small.

Alexander Arp

Alex joined the support team in June 2011 and has been answering user questions industriously since his first day. This former insurance agent is a die-hard soccer fan: on game days, you'll find him cheering for FC St. Pauli!

Eike-Marie Eiting

Eike comes to us straight from Leipzig, where she studied Spanish and Portuguese and worked in customer support on the side for Spreadshirt. Perfect training for taking care of all payment process-related issues at Jimdo! Eike loves films, live concerts, and traveling the world, but for now she's happy to return to Hamburg and get to know the city again.

Frank Ladwig
Community Support Germany

A Northerner through and through, Frank came to Jimdo in January 2012 after studying business in Stralsund, another maritime port town. At Jimdo he helps the German community with questions and problems large and small. And when he's not in the office, he's likely to be outside doing sports: from soccer to biking, or squash when it's raining.

Corinna Bartz

Corinna joined the Community Support team in January 2012. She's originally from Hamburg, and came home after a long odyssey from university in Greifswald (a northern port town where she also worked in a kite surfing school) to Berlin and back again. Considering how many kiting enthusiasts are in headquarters, we're sure she'll find an opportunity to stay in practice.

Jasmin Schreiber

In March 2012, Jasmin moved from Vienna to Hamburg to work for Jimdo. Since she arrived here, she's been cheerfully helping users with any questions they have. But Jasmin is not all about computers: she studied Biology and Philosophy at college, worked in design and marketing, and works as an artist on the side. She's also a licensed dog trainer, to the eternal joy of the dogs in our office.

Jan Fehling

Every morning Jan raises the Jimdo flag and sets sail for the coasts of German Customer Support, where he has been happily answering the variety of questions that come his way since April 2012. Jan also loves variety in his free time: Whatever's happening — seeing a concert, skydiving, or catching up on the last sixty years of Doctor Who — Jan is your man.

Ernst Roechner
Community Support Germany

Jimdo is not staffed by northerners, though: since May 2012 we have another Bavarian in the Hamburg office: Ernst earned his stripes as an independent domain registrar, which gives him loads of knowhow to answer user queries. He's also finishing up a distance learning BS in business. When he does have a free minute, he uses it to check out all that Hamburg has to offer - by bike or longboard.

Tim Kopec

Since July 2012, Tim has been working to help Jimdo's customer support team to improve its processes. With his experience working in support for an e-commerce website, Tim is the perfect person to help Jimdo get better at helping its customers. His passion is music, and he never leaves the house without a pair of headphones.

After spending some time as a projector coordinator for a startup in Hamburg, Johanna started at Jimdo as a community supporter. Full of enthusiasm, she spends her downs teaching Jimdo users how to make great websites. Johanna is also a very talented street artist.

Peter has called Hamburg home for a long time, and he began to call Jimdo HQ his home in January 2013. He is a strong addition to the German Support Team and strives to help German-speaking users make awesome sites.

It's not just his hair that's colorful--Christoph's life is too! He studies cultural anthropology, political science, & Japanese Studies, while trying to learning Polish. Besides nerdy hobbies like video games & building models, he's a vegetarian. He's been livening up the support team since April 2010!

Fritz is a real veteran of Jimdo support. He's been part of the Jimdo team since the very beginning and can answer all your questions in his sleep. He has a secret weakness for cup of noodles and other 5-minute foods, even though he's actually a really great cook.

Mathilde Kurz

Mathilde studied information science and communications in Paris and Berlin before joining Jimdo in October 2008. Since June 2011, she has been responsible for Jimdo in France and other Francophone countries. Mathilde also manages the French affiliate and partner programs.

Guillaume Baligand

We welcomed Guillaume in July of 2010, when he started working on community management, PR, and online marketing for France. In 2012 he joined the online marketing team. Even his musical hobbies found a home here (he plays guitar, bass, and drums). Guillaume has become our resident party and campfire guitarist.

Lucas Lefèvre

Lucas (pronounced in true French form without the 's' at the end!) has been helping our users in France and departments since January 2012. He studied graphic design, quality assurance and business - a perfect combination for working at Jimdo. After working in wholesale in France, he decided to do something different and brush up on his German, so he came to Hamburg. He also complements our running and cycling groups.

After studying communications and public relations in Paris, Justine worked as a press spokesperson. Then she unfurled her sails and set off on a one-year trip through Australia and New Zealand. We managed to convince her to join our Francophone team after that: To the delight of all, she has been keeping French-speaking users happy since March 2012!

Since January 2013, Caroline has assisted the French Jimdo team with community support. She has a background in communications and marketing, and has a lot of experience that makes her valuable to the team.

After moving to Bremen from Colombia in 2008 for a Masters Degree in Digital Media, Isabella was smitten by the subtle charm of Hanseatic cities and stayed here. Since June 2012, she has not only taken care of our Spanish-speaking community and the affiliate and partner programs, but has also proved herself a worthy addition to our athletic cadre in Hamburg.

When Monica moved to Hamburg from Italy, she "only" wanted to learn German, but she ended up with so much more. She's not only fallen in love with Hamburg, but she's also been a pillar of the Jimdo team since 2009. As the "Head of Italy" she works on Jimdo's Italian community, search engine optimization, and partners.

Daniel Saavedra

Daniel was born in Chile, grew up in Hamburg, and studied archaeology in Italy. He's our resident polyglot, speaking four languages fluently, which makes him hard to categorize on this page! Since April 2010, he's been helping out with the Italian Community Support, the Forum and Jimdo Friends.

After studying Journalism at the University of Milan, Francesca worked in project management and public relations. Indeed, it was a PR internship in Berlin that set her heart aflutter -- with Germany, that is. Since March 2012 she has been a part of Team Italy in Hamburg. We're excited to have her with us!

Shortly after moving to Hamburg, Davide began working with Jimdo's Italian support team in October 2012. A native of Sicily, Davide's goal is to make Jimdo more well-known in his native country. Davide is a huge fan of football, and can be seen walking through the streets waving the flags of various Italian football clubs.

Anastasia watches over the Russian-speaking Jimdo community. She takes care of our Russian users not only with her technical expertise (she's a computer scientist), but with good advice and support as well.

Roman Drits

Roman was born in Latvia, and grew up in the Russian-speaking community there. He studied PR and marketing in Riga, and afterwords worked as a photographer. Roman has been fortunate to win several prizes for his photographic work, which focuses on people and documentary themes. Two years ago he moved with his wife to Hamburg and in March 2012 he joined Jimdo, keeping the Russian-speaking community happy.

Since August 2012 Dimitry has enriched Jimdo's office with his cheery mood and he's also incredibly quick and helpful when responding to questions from Jimdo's Russian users. After finishing his studies in Riga, Latvia, Dimitry moved to Hamburg, Germany. The beautiful port city offers myriad opportunities for Dimitry to partake in water sports, which is his favorite thing to do in his free time.

After finishing her degree in Asian studies, Natalija spent a couple of years in China and then moved to Germany to work as a translator. In November 2012, she came to Jimdo to answer all the questions that our Russian-speaking customers have. Natalija likes to do illustrations in her free time.

While finishing her studies, Maria assists Jimdo with her background in journalism by helping the Russian team to build partnerships and get press. In her free time, Maria likes to explore Hamburg and capture what she finds with her camera. 

Paulina Ryters

After going to university in Hamburg, Paulina worked as a project manager in Warsaw -- but Hamburg's siren song called her back! Working for Jimdo is the icing on the cake. Paulina describes herself as lively, creative, a little chaotic, with a particular love for travel, music, and sports. In November 2011, she brought her sunny disposition and media acumen to help Jimdo master the Polish market.

Anna Lewandowska

Community Manager Poland 

Born in Warsaw, Anna moved to Hamburg after completing a degree in German Culture. She worked in online gaming for three years before she came to Jimdo in June 2012.  Since then, Anna has been the go-to girl in support for our Polish community, helping with user queries and advice. Alongside outdoor sports, Anna loves learning foreign languages. Now that she has her German down pat, she wants to work on improving her English and Italian.

Cristiana Romba
Country Manager Portugal & Brazil

Cris has been with Jimdo since March 2012, handling the marketing and PR activities for Portuguese-speaking users on both sides of the Atlantic. A native of Lisbon, Cristiana worked in online marketing before her wanderlust brought her to Hamburg and Jimdo. She misses the sand, beaches, and sun of her home country, but is grateful that Hamburg is not far from the sea.

The man with the German-sounding name was actually born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He came to Hamburg in 2004, and has been answering queries from Portuguese-speaking users since February 2012. We're happy to welcome Kai to his new home, and glad he decided to move from Sao Paulo to St. Pauli.

Luuk Sweben

Luuk is responsible for Jimdo's activities in the Netherlands, from marketing to public relations to supporting local users. In his free time, he keeps himself busy with sports and travel.

Frank van Oosterhout

In May 2012, Frank left Utrecht for Hamburg, on a mission to help Luuk tackle the Dutch market. He is responsible for looking after all Dutch speakers on Jimdo, answering questions and providing assistance wherever possible. When he's not in the office, Frank likes to explore the hidden charms of Hamburg on his bike and try to hunt down Bitterkoekjes. We don't know what they are, but we're hoping he'll share them with us when he finds them.

Yan Qing Shi started working at Jimdo China in March 2010. She takes care of customer support, as well as marketing and sales for Jimdo in China.


Yu Duo

Yu Duo has been part of Jimdo's team in Shanghai since May 2011. She takes care of the problems users may be having and helps them on their way to building a successful website. When Yu Duo needs some R&R, she likes to watch documentaries or paint.

Wang Ling

In August 2011, Wang Ling started working for Jimdo in Shanghai, and on his very first day he felt like part of the family. He's responsible for Jimdo's general marketing as well as internet marketing in China. In his free time, he enjoys reading novels and going to the movies.

Teppei Takahata

Teppei is responsible for all marketing and sales activities in Japan. Also he is a senior-vice president of SMB at KDDI Web Communications, Inc., Japan.

Takeo Komai

Takeo is responsible for the expansion of Jimdo in Japan. He manages the sales, support, press, and marketing activities in Japanese market. When Jimdo founders arrive in Japan, his home turns into “Jimdo Hotel”.

Hiromitsu Miyanishi

IT Manager, Jimdo Japan

Hiromitsu is responsible for all the IT & technical side of Jimdo Japan. He is also general manager of the technical team at KDDI Web Communications.

Moja

This sweet Magyar Vizsla dog is a few (maybe more than a few) inches taller than Paco, but she's still absolutely cute. Not only are the human Jimdo team members in love with her, we think Paco has a bit of a crush as well.

Ron

Since the beginning of 2012 there has been a new dog in the office: Ron, Nadezda's very large birthday present! He's a handful, and Nadezda is always running after him to clean up and move everything remotely edible out of his reach. He's a charming one, too, and that more than makes up for the extra hassle.

Chloe

Our adorable sheep dog, Chloe, is the fourth canine member of the Jimdo family. After a tough puppyhood as a street dog in Greece, Chloe was rescued and brought to Germany, where she now lives with the attentive, dog-loving Jasmin, one of our Customer Support Geeks. Chloe loves to cuddle with her stuffed polar bear, but her favorite thing of all is posing for dramatic Instagram photos.
