The Cabbage Soup Diet is a relatively new diet craze that continues to gain popularity. The diet consists of an “extreme” diet, and should only be used for 7 days. The Cabbage Soup Diet is used as a starting place for a more long term diet. It is not healthy to use the Cabbage Soup Diet for more than 7 days, as you don’t get all the nutrients your body needs.

Slice green onions, put in a pot and start cooking. Cut green pepper stem end off and cut in half, take the seeds and membrane out. Cut the green-pepper into bite size pieces and add to pot.

This is great diet and i have try it.

Pros and Cons of the Cabbage Soup Diet
Pros: You'll lose weight fast, and can get as much of the foods listed in the program as you want. Although the diet is only for seven days (and shouldn't be adhered to for longer), it provides a great "kick-start" for a more moderate diet.

Cons: Some people find the soup bland. Some people have reported feeling light-headed, weak, and have suffered from decreased concentration (although some who have been affected in this way felt it was well worth it, since it was only for a week and they had lost considerable weight).

The Cabbage Soup Diet is a typical example of “magical” food diets. It is primarily based on the claims that the cabbages have special fat-burning abilities.Because of the soup’s composition, you will not be left feeling hungry. I followed below cabbage diet plan and lost 10 pounds (4.5 kg) of weight in a week :lol:

Cabbage Soup Diet Plan:

- Day 1 - Cabbage soup plus as much fruit as you like, excluding bananas.
- Day 2 - Cabbage soup plus vegetables including 1 jacket potato with a little butter.
- Day 3 - Cabbage soup plus fruit and vegetables excluding potatoes and bananas.
- Day 4 - Cabbage soup plus up to eight bananas and as much skimmed milk as you like.
- Day 5 - Cabbage soup plus up to 20 ounces of beef and up to six tomatoes.
- Day 6 - Cabbage soup plus as much beef and vegetables (excluding potatoes) as you like.
- Day 7 - Cabbage soup plus brown rice, vegetables (excluding potatoes) and unsweetened fruit juice.
