Technical Requirements for Mail

Correct Account Setup

 

If you are having problems with mail, it makes sense to troubleshoot. There are a lot of connections that might not be set up correctly - and you can begin the troubleshooting process yourself! The table below should get you going in the right direction.

 

 

Your domain and account is ready for email if:

  • You register a domain with us directly;
  • You ask us to transfer your domain from your old registrar; or
  • You register a domain yourself elsewhere and point its name servers to Jimdo.

 

Your domain and account is not ready for email if:

  • You bought the domain from another registrar and have set a CNAME record for your JimdoPage;
  • You bought the domain from another registrar and pointed it to your JimdoPage with a simple redirection or not at all; or
  • Your domain has not been transferred yet.
