Jimdo empowers people to create their own websites without technical skills or coding knowledge. Jimdo's strengths are great usability (we have passionate users pushing 70), a high degree of visual flexibility (it's very easy to integrate your own design), and high-quality integration of photos, videos, and text. Over 5 million users around the world are already building their websites with Jimdo -- and we're continuing to grow exponentially.

 

Our team is motivated and diverse; in addition to headquarters in Hamburg, we have offices in San Francisco, Tokyo and Shanghai.

 

Jimdo is already huge on the continent, but there's lots of room to grow in the UK and Ireland. That's why we're looking for a Jack/Jill of all trades to help us make headway in the English market.

 

This position is full-time and located at our headquarters in Hamburg.


What you'll be doing

We're looking for an all-rounder for our headquarters in Hamburg, Germany to help us make headway in the UK and Ireland. You'll be wearing a lot of different hats, so you should be flexible and creative. There is a lot of room to own this project and take responsibility.

 

  • Contacting web developers or potential affiliates to help find great partners from the UK and Ireland
  • Creating and maintain tutorials and help articles
  • Holding webinars for our UK-based users
  • Assisting with PR campaigns and marketing
  • Helping our customers with all issues related to their websites, including domains, email, widgets, SEO, and other best practices
  • Finding new ways of making Jimdo users happy
  • Bonus: If you have experience teaching English, there is a group of learners waiting for your patient tutelage!

Who we're looking for

  • You're a native English speaker with great communication skills
  • You want to make a big impact in a small (two-person) team
  • You have experience with creating or editing websites/blogs/online stores
  • You like to laugh and are a friendly person
  • You are able to explain complex problems in simple language
  • You are able to think outside of the box and find creative ways to solve customer problems
  • If you speak German it would be helpful, but it's not required (we do offer German lessons!)
