Verifying your Jimdo website with Google Webmaster Tools
Before we get started, it's important to remember that each search engine works differently and may change its way of doing things from time to time. In other words: always check with Google for the best way to verify your website.
Currently, the easiest way to verify ownership of your Jimdo site for |Google Webmaster Tools is to add a meta tag to the "Head" section of your JimdoPage. To do so, first create a Webmaster account on Google, and click through to the "Add a site" section.
Google will ask you to enter the URL. Once you've done this, you'll be given several choices of how you'd like to verify your ownership of the site. We've found the easiest to be adding a meta tag.
Now all you have to do is copy the snippet of code Google gives you (it starts with <meta name...) and log into your JimdoPage. Go to the Settings menu, then click on Edit Head:
Paste the meta tag from Google into the Head section, save everything - and you're done!
