What is a header?

The header (also called "emotionheader" at Jimdo) is the top part of your Jimdo page, most of the time consisting of a picture and a headline. You can easily change the look of your header to match your taste.

Header Image

Click on the header to prompt a window with its settings.

Photo Gallery

You can choose from the many Jimdo gallery photographs and images to use in your header.

Use your own photo

If you want to use your own image, you can upload it here. In case your picture's size doesn't match that of the header, it will be cropped and/or resized accordingly. For more information on the allowed image formats, see: Image formats.

Pattern

Alternatively, you can select a pattern to use as your header image. Each pattern can be combined with a color of your choice.

Header Title

Title

The text that's supposed to be displayed on your header.

Font

You can choose one of seven font families for your headline: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, Times, Georgia, Courier New and Trebuchet MS. The text can also be displayed in bold.

Size

The font size of your headline.

Position

You can either choose one of four pre-defined headline positions (by clicking one of the buttons with the word "Position" on it) or set the position more precisely by using the controllers. Clicking the crossed-out button will make the headline invisible.

Color

You can choose any color for your headline, using the colourmod on the right side.
