Use your Existing Domain with Jimdo
If you have already registered a domain, you can still use it with Jimdo. There are several possibilities.
Note: We cannot do one of these steps for you. You have to set this up at your existing Domain Registrar
Don't forget to let us know when you make these changes!Redirect your Domain to your JimdoPage
The simplest way: Just redirect your domain to your JimdoPage username.jimdo.com.
Set your nameservers in your DNS to Jimdo
Jimdo's Nameservers:
- ns1.jimdo.com
- ns2.jimdo.com
Set a CNAME Entry in your DNS to Jimdo
To use your domain please insert the following entries in your DNS:
yourdomain.xx CNAME username.jimdo.com www.yourdomain.xx CNAME username.jimdo.com
Please note: You cannot use the Jimdo mail management if you are forwarding your domain via CNAME entry.
Transfer your existing domain to Jimdo
Contact our support team for step-by-step instructions on transferring your domain name to Jimdo.
We can receive transfers of .com, .info, .net, .biz, .de, and .org domains. .fr, .ch, .jp, .eu, and .at domains are also possible, but additional charges and conditions apply.
