Editing a text

Text fields are the most important medium for conveying information to the visitors of your Jimdo page. Below, the module's individual function are explained (from left to right). To find out what a certain function is called, move your mouse over the respective button and wait a short while.

Contents

Font format

The buttons "bold" and "italic" allow you to display text sections in bold or italic.

Align

Here you can determine the horizontal align for separate text sections: left, center or right.

Lists

With this option you can add enumerations to your text fields, using either ordered or unordered lists.

Text indenting

Here you can gradually indent or outdent parts of your text.

Font color

This option allows you to choose any color for a text section.

Links

These buttons work only when a section of your text is selected. Via "Insert link" you can link that section to one of your pages or an external website - and analogically remove the link with the "Unlink" button.

Paste as plain text

If you paste formatted text into a text field (for instance text with bold parts or links in it), the formatting will be kept the way it is. In case you'd like to paste the text in unformatted condition, then you can do that using this function.

Remove formatting

With this function you can revert any bold or italic text section to plain text.

Undo/Redo

Here you can undo any changes you are discontent with - or redo them if you then decide you want them back.

Edit HTML source

If you know how to code in HTML, then you can use this function to edit the HTML source code directly.

Don't forget to click the "Save" button to make your changes visible for others!
