An Internet Connection & Web Browser


To use Jimdo, all you need is an Internet connection and a web browser.


Please note: Jimdo no longer supports Internet Explorer 6. If you are still using this version, you may experience problems editing your site. Please upgrade!


Javascript & Cookies

In order for Jimdo to work properly, JavaScript and cookies must be activated in your browser. To activate them, change your browser's settings (or preferences), though they're usually activated by default.

In Mozilla Firefox (Windows)

Tools -> Settings -> Privacy -> Accept Cookies
Tools -> Settings -> Content -> Enable JavaScript


In Mozilla Firefox (Mac)

Firefox menu -> Preferences -> Privacy -> Accept Cookies
Firefox menu -> Preferences -> Content -> Enable Javascript


Flash

You should also have the latest version of Flash Player installed. Click here to check which version you have. If you need a newer version, you can get it from Adobe's website here.

If you're still having issues, try to change the settings of your Internet security software (e.g. firewall or ad blockers).
