An Internet Connection & a Web Browser

To use Jimdo, all you need is an internet connection and a modern web browser. We recommend the Mozilla Firefox (version 3.0 & higher), though Jimdo also works with Internet Explorer (version 6.0 & above), the Opera browser (version 10 and above), Google Chrome (version 2 and above), and Apple's Safari (version 4 and above).

Javascript & Cookies

In order for Jimdo to work properly, JavaScript and cookies must be activated in your browser. To activate them, you have to change your browser's settings (or preferences), though they're usually activated by default.

In Mozilla Firefox (Windows)

Tools -> Settings -> Privacy -> Accept Cookies
Tools -> Settings -> Content -> Enable JavaScript

In Mozilla Firefox (Mac)

Firefox menu -> Preferences -> Privacy -> Accept Cookies
Firefox menu -> Preferences -> Content -> Enable Javascript

Flash

You should also have the latest version of Flash Player installed. Click here to check which version you have. If you need a newer version, you can get it from Adobe's website here.

If there are any further problems, try to change the settings of your internet security software (e.g. firewall or ad blockers).
