Backups are very important for making sure your data is safe.

What Jimdo Does

The Jimdo servers are backed up daily to secure against hardware failure (or other eventualities on our end), so should anything occurs, the worst that can happen is that we'll have to roll back sites on a given server to the most recent backup, which could be up to 24 hours ago.

What You Can Do

However, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR DATA. If you accidentally delete a page, a photo album, or another part of your Jimdo site, Jimdo can't restore parts of your individual site. So keep copies of your content: photos, text, etc.

At time we don't have the functionality in our system to enable making copies or backups of your specific Jimdo site. We know it's important, so we ask for your patience as we develop this and other features.

However, we can recommend a partial solution: HTTrack Website Copier.

Please note that this will only copy your Jimdo site; it won't copy our editing interface if you restore to another hosting service from the backup.
