Customize your design! The Style Site-Admin panel allows you to easily change the colors and the font settings, as well as your site background. We'll explain in this article how to use the different settings that are available to you. If you have questions about a specific function, click on the links in the article table of contents on the left.

Some of the settings below are not available if you are using a layout that doesn't allow for them.

If you'd like to change the formatting of your paragraph text, this is where you can choose the font, adjust the size, and change the color. Use the color selector button on the right open a color-picker for custom color choices.

Advanced Users: Enter the hexadecimal value in the upper left corner of the color picker.

Choose the formatting for headings. You can also change the alignment here (left, center, right).

Links

Select the color that you would like your text links appear in. If you make a change, you can see how it looks right away in the preview on the left.

If you'd like to change the style or color of the horizontal line, this is where to do it.

For visitors to your site, the changes will only be visible if you select "Yes" in the preview menu box. So don't worry about messing up your live site, try out as many color templates as you'd like!

If our color templates aren't what you're looking for or you want very specific colors, use the color-picker to select exactly what you want.

By clicking on "save," the color will be overlaid as a preview on your JimdoPage, and the preview menu box will appear again.

Two-toned Background Patterns

Just like in the "personalized color" setting (the previous section) you can use the color-picker to pick a color for the background of your Jimdo Page. There are also many background templates on the right.

For every pattern you can choose whether it should be displayed in black or white over your chosen color. Just click on the corresponding button.

If you move your mouse pointer over a pattern, a small popover box should appear. If you click on a pattern, a preview of it will appear on your Jimdo Page, and the now-familiar preview menu box will appear in the upper right section of your browser window, asking if you'd like to accept, remove, or choose another background pattern.

Personalized Layout

We hope you'll understand that it's not possible to use most of the settings in the Style panel if you're using your own (custom) layout. Even if you are able to access the settings, most of them will not show up on your personalized layout.
