Stay Secure with HTTPS on Your Website

Secure HTTPS on your website

Jimdo now has an extra layer of security! In the upcoming weeks, we will enable free HTTPS encryption for your entire website. This technology makes sure the connection between your browser and website is secure and protects your visitors’ information when they use your site.

As soon as HTTPS is active for your Jimdo website, the secure connection will appear as a small lock icon in your browser’s address bar:

What are the benefits of HTTPS?

Jimdo already secures all online shops with HTTPS, but now we are extending that same level of protection to your entire website. This protects all your bases—which is an advantage for you and your visitors. Your customers will know that they can trust your website and that their personal information is secure.

As a nice SEO boost, HTTPS on your website will also improve your Google ranking!

Best of all, you don’t have to do anything. The update will take place automatically and your content and design won’t change—but behind the scenes, you and your visitors will benefit from the best protection and the latest technology. So sit back, relax, and enjoy knowing that your website is all taken care of.

If you’re using code in a Widget/HTML Element or in the Edit Head section that’s not compatible with HTTPS, you may get a note in your browser window with the message “insecure content.” If this happens, please follow these quick steps.

We look forward to converting all our Jimdo websites to HTTPS for more added security and making your Jimdo site even better!

Bring your business online with Jimdo.
