Get found, get booked, get paid. Here’s what’s new:

Your website is still your site. It’s the starting point. To win customers, you need to get found where your customers are actually searching. You need to make it easy to get booked or buy from you online. And you should be able to get paid online, not just at the appointment in person. Ideally, all of this is connected, so you don’t have to juggle different tools. Everything as simple as possible. All in one place.

That’s what we’ve spent the last few months building.

Here’s what that means:

  • Get found. Become visible on Google, Maps, in local directories, in recommendation systems, and with AI assistants like ChatGPT. Our AI helps you optimize your content for Search Engines, too. With Jimdo Local, you maintain your business profile in one place, and it stays up to date everywhere. And with Brand Monitoring, you keep an eye on your brand at all times and understand who’s talking about you, and how.
  • Get booked. We’ve built a new booking tool that connects directly with your website: individual appointments and group classes. Visitors can pick a time and pay upfront online. Use Smart Forms to collect the leads and customer information that fit your business. And if you sell products, the integrated online shop ties straight into your site and social channels.
  • Get paid. Every booking or sale can become an invoice with a payment link, sent via WhatsApp, email, or QR code. E-invoice compliant and GoBD (or GoB and GeBüv) compliant, so you don’t have to worry about it. We do love our regulation 🙂

We also know: it’s often hard to keep track of what really matters for your business. That’s what Companion, Jimdo’s AI, is for. It knows your business and works with you every day, offering insights, recommendations, and a chat that answers your questions. Frequently asked questions about the new Jimdo platform

What is the new Jimdo platform? The new Jimdo is a business platform for solopreneurs and micro-businesses. It connects website, visibility (Get Found), bookings and inquiries (Get Booked), and invoices and payments (Get Paid) in one system, complemented by an AI called Companion, which taps into your business data and gives you concrete, relevant recommendations.

What changes for existing Jimdo customers? Your existing websites, content, and domains stay as they are. Step by step, you’ll get access to new platform features like bookings, Smart Forms, shop, invoices, payments, and Companion. You activate what you need, at your own pace.

What is Jimdo Companion? Companion is Jimdo’s AI assistant. Unlike a generic chatbot, Companion has access to your real business data (bookings, inquiries, website performance) and turns that into concrete recommendations: close SEO gaps, improve content, position prices, prioritize next steps.

Is the new platform GDPR compliant? Yes. Your data is processed in Europe. You can automatically generate legal texts and an Impressum for your website with the Legal Texts add-on and keep them up to date. Payments run PCI-DSS compliant.

Are the invoices e-invoice and GoBD compliant? Yes. Every invoice can be created with all required information and already supports the XRechnung and ZUGFeRD formats. Archiving is GoBD (or GoB and GeBüv) compliant.

Do I need a separate plan for each tool (booking, shop, invoice)? No. The new platform is built so that the core features live in one system. Which features you can use, and to what extent, depends on the plan you choose. You can start for free.

How quickly can I be online with the new Jimdo? In under five minutes. You describe your business to Jimdo’s AI, and it generates a first version of your website (structure, copy, images, calls to action), which you can then adapt. You activate bookings, shop, and invoices as needed.

What does the new Jimdo cost? You can start for free: no credit card, with AI features for the website. Advanced platform features like bookings with payments, team calendar, invoices, online shop, and full Companion depth are included in the paid plans.

Which features are available in which countries? We’re rolling out market by market, so coverage looks a bit different depending on where you do business. Bookings work across all EU countries that use the euro and Central European Time. Invoicing is available in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Payment links are available across all of Europe. More markets are on the way. We’ll keep this list current as we expand.
